Our Timeline

July 21st, 2014:  First contact to a host mom in the Summer of Hope Program

July 21st, 2014: First contact to agency 

July 26th, 2014: After much prayer we decided to move forward with a special needs adoption of J.E.

July 28th, 2014: J. E. has a family pursuing his adoption!  Wahoo!

July 28th, 2014: Adam talks to the agency.  All the kiddos but one have families pursuing their adoption.  Praise the Lord!   We decide to move forward with the adoption of our son!

August 2nd, 2014: We submit our application to the agency. 

August 5th, 2014: We submit supporting documentation to be sent to the ICAB in the Philippines.  

August 11th, 2014: Follow-up.  All hosting-to-adopt documents have to be submitted as a massive package.  We are waiting on another family to finalize their packet.
August 19th, 2014: Jessica couldn't hold off any longer and emailed to see if there were any updates.  Our file was sent to ICAB for initial review last week!
August 19th, 2014: We contacted out home study agency to begin the process.

August 22nd, 2014: We are waiting, again.  Our file was reviewed by ICAB.  It was sent for additional medical review.  So, it's not a yes…but it's not a no.  The ICPC (Intercountry Placement Committee)will review our file and medical documentation.  We will not get an absolute approval but we will know whether any of the basics will disqualify us.
October 13th, 2014: We got the rubber stamp approval from the Philippines AND a grant from our awesome agency, Sacred Portion's Children's Outreach!
October 19th, 2014: We celebrated Kuya birthday thousands pf miles apart from him.  If yu read this, please take a moment and pray this is the last birthday he will ever have to be alone.
October 27th: First home study visit.
November 17th, 2014: Second home study visit.
