Adam's Spot

As a first post I want to make one thing exceedingly clear to everyone reading this.

I love you.

I love you because you are here looking at this tiny blog about a tiny (but growing) family. Regardless of why you are reading this, you are supporting our Kuya (Tagalog for "older brother").

While our immediate goal of this blog is to raise money and awareness to bring our son home from the Philippines, it is not your donated effort or money that makes me love you. (But please, understand, I am ever grateful for any of that that you can donate!). No. I love you because you are taking moments out of your day to think about adoption, and to learn about the process, or reinforce memories of your own experience.

Even if you do not have money or time to donate, please drop us a message! When you engage with our family, even through a seemingly insignificant comment on a post, you are fueling us to seek a better future for kids across the world. I would love any simple note or prayer (of any faith) to Kuya that we can keep for him so that he will always know our community's love.

On a similar note, this is why Jessica and I began FosterLove, Inc., a 501(c)(3) public charity, and why we feel called to adopt again. We are each keepers of another, and we are all part of this tiny family on Earth. Changing our communal attitude begins one child at a time. Thank you for standing with us.
